The encounter is by no means simple or easy, but it is certainly refreshing from the months of ICC10/25.įor the most part, trash is inconsequential except for the two patrolling packs with the Charscale Commander (identified by the banner he has). Other than that, the fight continues as in phases 1 and 2.Ĭomment by 622660A few clarifications and personal observations from having done RS10 today.Ģ tanks are required for the encounters on 10 man, with preferably 3 healers. Dps needs to be just about equal on both, or the side with less dps will have their Halion healing himself and dealing more damage, as he is pushed further into that realm. Haslion exists in both realms, and the raid must split into two one fights him in the shadow realm, and the other fights him in the physical realm. Every once in a while, a death beam will come out of the two, connecting them and dealing enough damage to instantly kill you to any player in the beam. Also, two shadow orbs circle around the edges of the stage. In the shadow realm, Halion still has his breath and Mark of Combustion, but they do shadow damage instead of fire damage. Halion shifts to the shadow realm, and summons a portal which players can use to enter as well. Players afflicted have to move to the edge of the stage then get the debuff removed, before running back to the raid. When the debuff ends or when it is removed, a patch forms under the player's feet that deals damage to players in it. He also puts a debuff on random players called Mark of Combustion. All players must move away from the flames that spread from the patch. Any player under it must move out before the fireball hits. The location where the fireball will hit is indicated by a hellfire graphic. He also summons fireballs, which fall from the sky and hit a large area with fire damage, leaving a patch of flame where it hit, as well as four flames going in the four directions out of the fire patch. Unlike most dragon bosses, he does not have a tail swipe or cleave. SoT runs are separate, and far less often, because I have better uses for my time, given the long looping route required to get there, and the exceedingly rare and necessary Ectoplasm, which is far better spent elsewhere.Halion has three phases, in which the raid must switch between the physical realm and the shadow realm.Ī few seconds after being engaged, Halion summons a wall of flame in a circle around him, closing off any players not in the stage. It is fast, and hits at least 3 boss-types. I usually just run the standard Oprah GIF, peeking at the two Overworld spots for Moose nearby, then hit Cronley’s, for a chance at Fabius, before resetting. Still having fun though, and I have now have toons to level that have a very good start at their level 65+ gear I only do the circle once, I have been finding the the first run of the night will give me some nice drops (though alot of them seem to duplicates of what I got the night before…sigh), anyway I found subsequent runs on the same night don’t give near the same “quality” of loot (Epics/Legendaries), I don’t know if this is on purpose or not. The run usually takes be about 1.5hours but sometimes I take breaks (I Love that you can pause this game after playing WoW for so long but I cut the cord on that one) Haven’t been doing Loghorrean itself yes there are some bosses I skipped but I found this route worked smoothly for me. Port to Inner Necro then go down to Loghorrean Port to Necropolis (more shards on the way to Black sepulcher and its boss) Port to Darkvale run down and kill Karroz “If you need shards” Port to Homestead and run the conflagration include the boss at the end Port to Rotting Croplands (Queen and Amalgamation) Port back to broken hills, head down to do Steps (usually lots of elite animals along the way) Port to Broken hills (head into undercity and down to the bottom for that boss) Once through Hanneffy head to Hideout (Fabius, Moneybags, Cronley, Dynamite) Port to Old Arkovia run to Hanneffy mine (Halion the Rat and Dynamite) Run through Staunton Mine (Elite and Dynamite) Port to Burwitch villiage, run to east marsh (Balegor the Swampking, Kalis Ka the Bonehunter) Kill Warden and any elites that get in the way I have been farming Ultimate using the following route for the last few nights.
